Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement
The Autism Society of Central Virginia believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion are critical components of a thriving community. We focus on helping people obtain what they need in order to get to a place where equity is possible in all aspects of their lives. We embrace the diversity of the communities we serve by providing programs and resources that are developed to meet the needs of all, regardless of race, ethnicity, language, religion, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender, or socioeconomic status. As an inclusive organization, guided by evidence-based practices, we promote neurodiversity and understand that everyone thinks, learns, and interacts with the world in unique ways. We celebrate distinctive talents and acknowledge multiple perspectives within our autism community.
