Private Schools

A private school is an educational institution that operates independently of the public school system and is funded primarily through tuition, donations, and endowments rather than government funding. Private schools often offer smaller class sizes, specialized curricula, and individualized attention, and may provide unique programs. A child with a disability could be placed in a private setting by a local school division or is placed for noneducational reasons by a comprehensive Services Act Team.  These placements are governed by specific regulations and processing.
