We kicked off April with a fun-filled week of Spring Break Camp. This year, we hosted 20 participants at True Timber Backyard. Our wonderful friends at Beyond Boundaries joined us in the fun, helping as we tried our hands at games, crafts, nature walks, and outdoor safety lessons! We’re grateful to our community partners at Beyond Boundaries and TrueTimber Backyard for partnering with us to make this program possible!
In addition to our regular monthly programs such as classes with River City Inclusive Gym, member bowling, and our support programs, we wrapped up two of our incredible programs series during April, the John Maloney Project and our spring series of Art on Wheels for Teens and Adults!
We watched community bloom as participants and buddies of the John Maloney Project engaged in games, explored the playground, and enjoyed each others company and the outdoors at the Collegiate School!
Our artists experimented with fun new mediums in our spring Art on Wheels session, from crafting beautiful paper blooms, to taking a stab at embroidery, and piecing together beautifully intricate mosaics for our spring gardens.
We ended the month with our annual ASCV Member Event at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden! Over 230 ASCV Members enjoyed a beautiful sunny day admiring the blooms and exploring the gardens.
This is just a glimpse at the ASCV’s offerings! Be sure to check out our program calendar to see what we have coming up next. We hope you will join us for a program or event soon!
