Our ASCV Social and Recreational Scholarship Program was developed to support individuals with autism in participating in social and recreational activities in the community. 

Examples of qualifying programs include, but are not limited to: camps, social skills groups, recreation leagues, swimming lessons, dance classes and gymnastics.  Our ASCV Social and Recreational Scholarship Program does not cover daycare, therapies, respite, or individual outings.

Eligibility Guidelines for an ASCV Social and Recreational Scholarship:

  1. Awards are based on funds available. Priority will be given to ASCV Members. Partial scholarships could be awarded.
  2. Reside in the ASCV’s service area – Amelia, Chesterfield, City of Richmond, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, Hopewell, King William, Louisa, New Kent, Petersburg, Powhatan, or Prince George.
  3. Have an official diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder and provide documentation to the ASCV.
  4. Submit receipts/invoices and complete documentation before funds are distributed.

Scholarship applicants are eligible to receive up to $300 in scholarship funds per calendar year, per individual with autism in the household. If approved, funds may be used to reimburse for services already paid or they can be sent directly to the service provider.
